Dr. Nirod Kumar is Director with Frost & Sullivan’s Transformational Health (Healthcare) Practice for Middle East, Africa and South Asia. He has more than 18 years’ experience in the healthcare ecosystem covering senior roles in large hospitals group, provider-payer exchange, and co-founded healthcare information technology based disruptive start-ups. He was part of the leadership team that conceptualised and helped in executing Asia’s pioneering Virtual Coronary Care Units project, running it in 19 locations, providing affordable and real-time access to intensive cardiac care in rural and remote locations in India in the year 2002. In the last decade, Dr . Singh supported in building and launching new products and services in the digital health segment. The products/service range includes wearable devices, home care systems, Health Information Exchange areas covering mobility , care access, software frameworks, and care analytics. Grounded on health system realities on the ground and emerging disruptions, Dr Nirod has spearheaded thought leadership debates and discussions in various national and international platforms including the Global Aging Forum at International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing

(IAHSA), Malta; Med-e-Tel, Luxembourg; mHealth Summit, Mumbai etc. He has also contributed to various Central and State Government health ICT/Telehealth initiatives in the past by being an active member of various standardisation and evaluation sub-committees. At Frost & Sullivan, he has been involved with building and deepening engagement with the health ecosystem’s key stakeholders covering, hospitals, bio-pharma, medical technology , health ICT and health insurance entities in the region. He has a Masters in Hospital Management from Osmania University , Hyderabad and graduated in Medicine from Dr . NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. He is a life member of the Indian Medical Association.
