After completing his MBA in 2007 , Sauraj left his corporate carrier after spending about 7 years in Standard Chartered bank and Druva Software to pursue his passion for climbing and mountaineering. A qualified mountaineer from the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, a trained lifeguard from the Royal Life Saving Society, Australia, and a certified skydiver of the Indian Parachuting Federation, Sauraj had begun to realize his passion for climbing well before finishing his MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. He is credited with being amongst the youngest Indians to climb Mera Peak in Nepal, in 2009. Sauraj grew up in a defense environment and developed an abiding love for the outdoors. Besides, climbing in India, Sauraj has had tremendous International climbing experience, having climbed Mt. Elbrus in Russia, Mt Blanc in the French Alps, Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa. An incredibly fast climber with tremendous endurance, he climbed Mt Everest in May 2018.
